Terms & Conditions

ALL BOOKINGS REQUIRE FULL AMOUNT PAID WITHIN ONE WEEK PRIOR TO EVENT UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE BY SUSSEX SUPEREROES

1. Booking Time – Our heroes are booked in one-hour time slots, which is the duration of the performance. This time does not include the time it takes to get into or out of costume, as some outfits require considerable preparation to ensure you get the best experience possible. 

2. Changing Space – We require a private area for our performers to change, particularly for larger costumes. We’ll discuss this with you during booking.

3. Costume Assistants – Some costumes require two people for safety and practicality. An assistant may be present to help the performer and ensure your guests are safe.

4. Interaction & Respect – Performers will interact with guests but will never touch them. We ask that guests treat performers with respect, so everyone enjoys the experience.

5. Cancellations – You can cancel up to 48 hours before the booking with no charge. We understand life happens and aim to be flexible. Costume Malfunctions – In the rare event of a costume or technical issue, you’ll receive either a full refund or credit. We do not accept liability for consequential loss; bookings are made with this understanding.

6. Payments – Payment must be received within 7 days of booking to secure your slot, unless otherwise agreed beforehand in writing. We accept PayPal or bank transfer and provide receipts.

7. ​Travel Costs – Travel within 10 miles of Bognor Regis is included. Beyond that, we charge £0.80 per mile (up to 50 miles). For further distances, we’ll agree on any additional expenses (e.g. hotels, storage) at the pre-contract stage.

8. Photos & Videos – You’re welcome to take photos and videos for personal use. Commercial licenses can be arranged in advance for an additional cost.

9. ​Feedback & Behaviour – We love hearing your feedback! If you have an issue, please speak to us first so we can resolve it. Abusive behaviour towards our staff or performers will not be tolerated, and the event will be stopped immediately with no refund. If the performer feels the event is unsafe we reserve the right to cancel, and no refund will be given.

10. Video Messages – Video messages are delivered via WhatsApp. You’ll need to complete and return our information form at least one week before delivery. We are not responsible for technical issues on the recipient’s device, but we’ll do our best to help

11. All our performers a DBS checked. We also carry £2M public liability insurance and include a copy of the insurance certificate with your booking.​

Cancellation Policy

All Bookings / Hire are booked in advance, and all are subject to availability.

If you book us and we arrange an event and organise characters etc and you cancel, you will be charged an administration fee.

If there are cancellations the deposit is non-refundable unless stated otherwise by the head of Sussex Superheroes. (Maximum cancellation time is 48 hours).

If the booking is cancelled 48 hours before, or less, you will lose the full amount due to taking up valuable booking space.

All cancellations made by Sussex Superheroes themselves are fully refundable and a discount given to future bookings.
